The Student Union is the executive branch of the student government. The mission of the is to represent, serve, connect and develop the diverse student body through initiating and organizing different academic and social programmes and events. The Student Union operates according to the guidelines set by the charter of UH-GAF student body, as well as University rules and regulations. The SU president and Vice President are elected by the student body two weeks before the end of semester B.
The Student Senate is the legislative authority of the student body. The Senate is responsible for the academic representation of students, monitoring the performance of the Student Union, initiating legislation for the student body in accordance with the student body constitution and functioning as a link between the Student Union and the general assembly of the student body. Each senate member is responsible as an individual for channeling the interests of his/her constituency to the UH-GAF administration and academic staff, the Student Union, the Senate as a whole and the UH-GAF community at large. Members of the Student Senate are elected by the student body three weeks into semester A.
The Student Judicial Board is the student judiciary authority. This includes ensuring that the Student Union, Student Senate and all clubs operate according to the charter and general university policy, and that Student Union members and club officers execute their responsibilities. The Student Judicial Board monitors the elections of the Student Union and Student Senate. Members of the Student Judicial Board are elected by the student body two weeks into semester A.
