The University of Hertfordshire in Egypt, hosted by Global Academic Foundation, is the first full-fledged branch campus of a UK university in Egypt.
Dr Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has visited the University of Hertfordshire in Egypt’s campus on Saturday, March 26th, as a part of his sight visits to international universities’ campuses in the New Administrative Capital.
The University of Hertfordshire in Egypt’s leadership, which included the university’s president Professor Vincent Emery and our dean members, was honoured to accompany Dr Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar on a tour that showcased the university’s facilities, academic buildings, and most recent developments. One of the visit’s purposes was to officially launch our newest building, titled “Building 4”, which includes a wide array of advanced laboratories, medical suites, mock pharmacies, and state-of-the-art classrooms.
During his speech in the new building’s theatre, the minister stressed the importance of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in developing international branch campuses, such as our university. He also recalled the obstacles and challenges that were faced during the primary stages of building the university. He noted the on-going developments that have been achieved by the university in order to advance the campus on every level, especially during a relatively short timeframe.
