UH-GAF's School of Engineering and Computer Science Announces Summer Workshops for Students

The School of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) at the University of Hertfordshire in Egypt (UH-GAF) is pleased to announce a series of specialized workshops designed to enhance its students' technical skills and expertise this summer.

These intensive workshops will provide participants with valuable hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in the sought-after industry software and practices. All workshops are offered over three days and will be held within dedicated labs on the UH-GAF campus.

Workshop Offerings:

• Introduction to BIM and AutoCAD Workshop (July 21-23): This workshop will introduce students to Building Information Modeling (BIM) in civil engineering, with a focus on its benefits for visualization and cost reduction. Participants will also gain practical experience using AutoCAD for 2D and 3D design.

• Construction Management using Primavera Workshop (July 22-24): This workshop equips students with essential skills for successful engineering project management using Primavera software. Topics covered include interpreting engineering drawings, estimating project quantities, and developing detailed project plans. Students will also gain experience in creating schedules, managing resources, and finalizing bid proposals.

• Advanced Structural Design using SAP2000 Workshop (July 28-30): This workshop delves into the world of structural analysis and design using SAP2000 software. Participants will learn how to simulate complex structures, define material characteristics, and analyze the effects of wind and earthquake loads. The workshop will also explore the simulation of water structures and underground water tanks using SAP2000.
