UH-GAF Shortlisted for Prestigious Awards in Science of Learning and Business Education

TheUniversity of Hertfordshire, hosted by Global Academic Foundation, has achieveda significant milestone by making it to the shortlist in two categories forprestigious awards. The university has been recognised for its outstandingachievements in the field of Science of Learning and Innovations in BusinessEducation.

 

Thefirst category in which the university has been shortlisted is the Science ofLearning Award for its remarkable efforts in content localisation of UHfranchised modules. This recognition acknowledges the university's commitmentto adapting educational content to meet the specific needs and preferences ofstudents. By localising the modules, the university has successfully tailoredthe learning materials to different cultural and linguistic contexts, therebyenhancing the educational experience for its diverse student body.

 

The second category in which the university has received recognition is Innovations in Business Education. The university's Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) programme has been lauded for its innovative approach to business education. This programme equips students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of information technology in the business world. The university's ITMB programme has been highly regarded for its relevance to industry demands and its ability to produce graduates who are well-prepared for the challenges of the modern business environment.

 

The short listing process was highly competitive, with over 1200 submissions received across 17 awards categories. However, UH-GAF’s exceptional contributions stood out, earning them a place among the finalists. The next stage of the awards process will require representatives of the shortlisted submissions to deliver an elevator presentation at the upcoming conference and awards event in Abu Dhabi. This event is scheduled to take place from the 11thto the 13th of December, 2023.

 

PresidentVincent Emery will personally provide the elevator pitches for both UH-GAF’sshortlisted submissions. President Emery expressed his delight at theuniversity's achievements, stating, "I am very pleased that we have beenshortlisted in two categories for these prestigious awards. My thanks extend toProfessor Wael Badawi, formerly of the Business School, who coordinated oursubmissions." President Emery also expressed optimism that theuniversity's impactful work at UH-GAF will receive further recognition at theforthcoming conference and awards ceremony.

 

UH-GAF’srecognition in these prestigious awards is a testament to its dedication toexcellence in education. By focusing on content localization and fosteringinnovation in business education, UH-GAF continues to make a remarkable impacton the academic landscape. As the conference and awards event approach, UH-GAFeagerly awaits the opportunity to showcase its accomplishments and furthersolidify its position as a leader in science of learning and businesseducation.
