The University of Hertfordshire in Egypt, hosted by Global Academic Foundation, is the first full-fledged branch campus of a UK university in Egypt.
On July 22nd, 2024, the University of Hertfordshire, hosted by Global Academic Foundation’s (UH-GAF) School of Health took an important step in expanding its reach and collaborative initiatives. In a ceremony held in Cairo, UH-GAF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the General Physical Therapy Syndicate of Egypt (GPTS), represented by its Chairman, Dr. Sami Saad. The agreement was countersigned by Dr. Wanees Badawy, representing the UH-GAF’s School of Health.
This agreement lays the foundation for enhanced cooperation between UH-GAF's renowned Physiotherapy programme and the GPTS. Through this MOU, both institutions aim to foster faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and the development of training programmes to upskill physical therapy professionals in Egypt.
Through this partnership, UH-GAF students and faculty will gain access to a variety of enriching experiences, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and the development of specialized training programmes. This agreement represents a tremendous opportunity for our Physiotherapy programmes to engage with leading physical therapy professionals in Egypt.
By collaborating with the GPTS, UH-GAF's students and researchers will have the chance to learn from their Egyptian counterparts, share best practices, and work on innovative solutions to global healthcare challenges. By forging this connections, UH-GAF is broadening its horizons of its community and contributing to the advancement of the physical therapy field.
